Summer 7 on 7 thoughts

Posted Tuesday, July 03, 2018 by Ed Dalton

Here are some of my thoughts from this summer's 7 on 7 season.

Our younger teams were better than ever with Ethan Janovich doing a great job at QB.

Marshall Whipkey has a gun there is no throw he can't make and is such a threat to run he will be a nightmare to defend.

CJ Craig cole is now 6"5 and a bad matchup on the perimeter in the passing game.

Jake Garrety might be the most improved receiver from last season to now, Ty Smith is also greatly improved.

Clutter and Crowe can do it all,  catch run and block, our option offense will be strong.

Bryton Johnson and Nate Yagle have developed nicely behind Clutter and Crowe.  Did I mention how much better Connor Corbly has gotten in a year.

The B back McK Whipkey, Sells and Falosk give us a strong FB run game.  Falosk is so smart he needs to know two positions on O QB and B back.

My next article I will talk about the defense, which might be the most athletic we have had in my tenure at McGuffey.
