NEXT MAN UP EDDIE SHINGLE COMES THROUGH FOR HIGHLANDERS

Eddie Shingle had played a limited amount of time on the varsity field going into Friday night. He had never played center but that was the task he was required to do. With Dean Pawlack out with a knee injury the 6'2 220 pound freshman was asked to move to center and be ready in four days. At the end of the night Shingle graded 70 against a good SV defensive line and also was almost perfect on his shot gun snaps. It is for answering the call to duty that freshman Eddie Shingle is this week's McGuffey Football Player of the Week!
